Book Review: A Year With Jesus by R. P. Nettelhorst

I was so excited to get my first book from Booksneeze, and A Year With Jesus did not disappoint. A Year With Jesus is a daily devotional book focused on the Words of Christ. I mentioned last Lent season how much I enjoyed focusing on Christ every day, and going through this book is not different. Starting the day with a truth from the words of Christ is fantastic!

Because it is a year-long devotional book, I have not completed it; however, I have been using it for several weeks and appreciate several things about it. One is the clean, open layout. It gives me plenty of room to highlight and write in the margin, which I love.  I love a devotional book that I can mark up!

The other thing I appreciate about this book is that even though each day's reading is concise, there is a lot packed into a few paragraphs. I enjoy being able to take a few thoughts to carry with me throughout the day. The book is divided up into different categories, including God's love, relationships, truths and lies, patience, and several more.

The one downfall I find in this book is that even though the days verses are printed on each page, none are in the King James Version, which is what I prefer to use. I normally look the verses up myself each day, which is fine.

I am excited to use this book for the next 11 months and be daily meditating on the words of Christ.
