Shop Update: Autumn/Thanksgiving Printables!

Last year I had a custom request for some Thanksgiving/Autumn printables. They were so fun, I thought I’d re-vamp them for this year! That is right, there are new Thanksgiving and Autumn planning printables at So Sew Organized!

It is fun to do themed work for special occasions such as a holiday. For my yearly management printables I like keeping things simple and streamlined, but with holiday stuff it is fun to add specific colours and even some graphics. I still keep these simple and easy-to-use, but I think they can be fun for everyone, too!

Some of these stayed the same as last year - but a few got updated. I also better designed them to work for both Canadian and American Thanksgivings. There is a calendar for both October and November, and the countdowns and such are not specific to a certain month. That gives flexibility no matter where you live!

If you already have some of these printables from last year, but would like just the updated ones for 2013, just leave me a comment or contact me and I’ll be glad to work out a deal for you!

Here are the files that are offered:

October calendar with Canadian Thanksgiving and Halloween clearly marked

November calendar with American Thanksgiving clearly marked

Recipe page - such a fun way to keep track of your traditional recipes! This sheet is personalized just for you!

Thanksgiving to-do list

Countdown to thanksgiving

Cultivate thankfulness in the days leading up to Thanksgiving. This is not month-specific so it can be used no matter which day you celebrate! A blank copy is also provided for you to fill in your own activities if you prefer.

30 fun fall activities for your family or class. This is also not month-specific, and also comes with a blank version.

Autumn bucket list for some fall fun!

This is a 3-page printable that helps you map out events, make lists, and not leave any detail undone.

Autumn to-do list

All of these printables are available at So Sew Organized either individually or as a packet. Head over there to browse and purchase, and be sure to let me know if you have any questions, concerns, or customization requests!

I'd love to know: what is your favourite part of fall? Are there any other helps that would make your fall events run more smoothly?

Shop Update: 2013 Daily Planner

I am always excited to be able to add new items to my Etsy shop! Today I have for you a revised and updated Daily Planner package just for 2013!

Here is what this package contains:

Year-long calendar
Personal life goals
Family goals
Yearly goals
Monthly goal sheet
Master to do list
Daily to do lists
Important household info
Babysitter’s guide
Finance record
Monthly bills to pay
Account Log-ins

You already saw the 2013 calender, but just to jog your memory:

I have re-worked a few other printables to make them easier to use, more practical, and larger open spaces for doodling planning and writing!

This last year I used this printable for my monthly and weekly goals (which you see every Monday in my goals update posts):

It worked, but I found it did not work well. I kept it in a plastic sleeve, so I could write on it with a Sharpie and erase it each week. That became a little tiresome, and as the year wore on I found I was using it less and less simply because I didn't take time to erase it!

So, I brainstormed what could be better, and came up with this instead:

weekly and monthly goals

This file contains a sheet for each month. On the left is a place for my month-long goals, and the right side is broken up into 5 weeks, to keep track of weekly goals. Each week has a place for 10 goals, which is my self-proclaimed "limit" so I don't attempt too much and get frustrated when I can't do it all!

Each month also includes a motivational quote or verse. You might recognize this one on January as being my new favorite quote. :)

I also made new sheets for the long-term goals. Yearly ones...

2013 goals

Personal life goals...

personal life goals

...or Family life goals, for those of you with families who may set more than just personal goals...

family goals

When you purchase those, you will also receive a blank copy so you can write in your own categories if you prefer!

The other sheets that needed some tweaking were those old to-do lists. I was trying to keep one running To-Do list, and it just wasn't working, partially because I didn't give myself enough space, and I was constantly running out of room! I also needed something to write down daily to-do lists...I had tried just using Post-it notes, and they just weren't doing the trick!

So I came up with my own:

Daily to do list

These can simply be cut apart, stapled together, and Bam! Instant note pad. Plus, the match my new master to-do list {wink}...

master to do list

You might notice that I included a water intake check-list on the daily to-do list. Because peeps, I have to drink lots of water. I notice a definite difference in my energy level and how I feel overall when I don't drink enough water. So that is just a little visual reminder for me!

Those are all the update printables in this new package. However, the package also includes these oldies (but goodies!):

Monthly Bills to Pay record...

Bills to pay pg. 1 picture

Plus this finance tracker to keep track of all your different accounts in one place {I personally love this one!}:

Ooh, I love this one too. A place to list all your user log-ins and passwords. I use this DAILY for all those weird little places you log into just to get freebies or save $$, ya know? But it is good for the big stuff too (Facebook, etc) if you forget those easily. And really, who doesn't? This is a lifesaver!

A babysitter's guide for when you have to leave your kiddos behind:

Babysitter Guide picture

Store all your family's important info in one place so everyone knows where to find it in an emergency {or just keep it in your planning binder to jog your own memory, wink!}

This update package is now available in my Etsy shop. You can get any of these printables separately, or mix and match to make your own package deal. OR....buy these all as a set and save big! If you need only the updated 2013 sheets, let me know and I'll list them separately for ya.

I'd love to hear what printable sheets work best for you! How many of you use the ones from my shop? If you don't I won't hold it against you. {wink!}

39 Days 'Til Christmas! All the Christmas Printables

It is hard to believe that Christmas is only about 40 days away! Time to get serious about planning (and blogging!) lots of Christmas goodies!

Last year, I shared our Christmas traditions along with some new food and decor ideas (thanks Pinterest!) randomly throughout the month of December. (You can browse through those posts by clicking here and scrolling down through the old posts.) I'm planning on doing the same this year, and squeezing in as much Christmas goodness as I can!

Over the next 40 days, I will be blogging frequently about Christmas - recipes, activities, and general planning to help you be motivated and give you suggestions and ideas! If there is one thing I love to read about, its Christmas, and there is so much inspiration to be gained from others that I hope to share with you!

To kick off the Christmas spirit, I have another new Christmas planning printable to add to our arsenal. (Plus, I need all the Christmas printables in one post, so I'm killing two birds with one stone.)

Here are the Christmas printables available for free just by requesting them in the comments section of this post:

A Christmas countdown, beginning December 1st:

Keep track of the gifts you need to still purchase, including where to get it and what your price range is:

Don't forget the most important part: Christmas food! Includes a spot to jot down where the recipe is located:

Printable 3x5 recipe cards:

Or a recipe page. Either of these would make a great gift if you compiled the recipes!

Please remember to include your name for the personalization on this!

And the infamous To-do list, to help you keep your head on your shoulders:

The brandy-new one I am introducing today is an Address Book! Here is a close up of the first page so you can see the details:

Besides the normal name, address, phone number and web info, this page also includes a place to mark if you sent or received a gift or card, and if you sent a thank you note or not! So much function packed in one place, this will make your gift and card giving so much easier!

The second page has all the same info, but can be printed off again and again as many times as you need. You can even mark the page numbers to keep everything straight. Should prevent headache!

All you have to do to makes these printables your own is leave a comment below including your email address. Be sure to also include your name for the personalization of the recipe page (or the name of the person receiving the page...or both!)

I'd love ideas for other planning pages that would be a help to you this season. Let me know, and I'll do my best to create what you need!

How are you doing with Christmas prep this year? Are all your gifts purchased yet? Decor up? Here in Canada, Thanksgiving has already come and gone, and many places are already playing Christmas music. Doesn't it seem "too early?"

New Printables! 2013 Calendars

My goals for this month included working on some new printables, which I am excited to share with you today!

It is funny to me how these printables evolve over time. What was cool to me last year at this time seemed out-dated this year. For instance, here is a picture of my calendar from last year...

Meh. Not bad, but I'm finding that I'm digging a little more white openness and less gotta-fill-every-inch-with-color-ness. Here is what I've come up with for 2013:

I certainly like it better. and I hope you do too, because this baby is available for purchase in my shop! Buh-bye, 2012 printables, hello 2013!

I combined Saturdays and Sundays onto one space to leave room for a "notes" section to the side. I am loving the wide open spaces for each day, and the minimalistic look to it all! I also took the ol' ink usage into consideration...I couldn't leave the colors off completely because I love lots of color, but there are only small chunks of color, and this could easily be printed in grayscale if that is more your jam.

But that is not all. I've been really pondering how to better organize my blog planning, and I've been working on several printables to help me plan and be better prepared during 2013. For starters, I turned the 2013 calendar in a blog-specific calendar....

The top right-hand corner includes a little space to list monthly blogging goals (something I have not done in the past, but would like to start doing in 2013!).  Any empty squares hold a place for stats...not because I'm tied to my stats counter, but I do like to keep an idea of whats going on, what works well for my readers, etc. I think the "notes" section is going to be my favorite...that is one thing I have found myself needed in my blog planning these last few months!

I'm working on some other blog-related printables, too, that aren't yet available in my shop. Here is a sneak preview:

I have a few others to finish, and then I will offer them all as a package for you other bloggers out there! (Unless you are itching to get started with your blog planning...I'd be happy to list these for you now if you let me know!) I'll be sure to keep you updated! For now both of the calendars are available in my shop so you can begin planning ahead into 2013. And really, where else can you get a yearly calendar for $4?? I digress. I'll also add these to the (sadly disorganized) Printables tab above so you can find them later if need be.

These calendars and other printables are a huge help to me in keeping this organized and allowing me to set goals and plan ahead. But I want them to be a help to you as well! If you have any ideas for printables that will meet your needs in 2013, leave me a comment or jot me a note! I love to make customized things, just like I did with these Thanksgiving printables. Any way I can be a help!

Are you planning into 2013 yet? How do you stay organized and keep motivated? For you fellow bloggers, how do you do with planning your blogging stuff? I'm looking forward to doing better this year!

Christmas is coming, the goose is getting fat

I can hardly believe it is already time to talk about Christmas, but here I am, talking about Christmas. Yikes!

Before I get into the meat of this post, let me say this: Some people are having trouble commenting on my posts - specifically, the giveaway post from Monday. Of course it would be that one post! I am not sure what the problem is, but let me know if you try to comment and have trouble, ok? I'll enter you to win the $15 credit to Mae's Joyful Noise anyway. I also might extend the giveaway a couple extra days if I find it has been a big problem. Anyway, if you can't comment on that post, just contact me to enter!

And now, on to Christmas...

Lately, my post with free Christmas printables has been a huge hit! (Probably has something to do with that little "free" word, don't you think??) Anyway, I wanted to highlight those printables again for those of you that are so on top of things this year, plus I have some new ones for ya!

Here are the ones I offered last year...

Countdown calendar

Plan your gift giving

And your baking! One of the most important parts of Christmas, lol!

And here are the new ones for this year!

3x5" recipe cards...these would even make a nice gift!

Or a recipe page for a recipe binder, if that is more your jam. Another gift idea!

And a to-do list, because one can't function without it!

There are a whole bunch of gift ideas in printables! You could print them off and make a binder for someone else...or even just gift the .pdf files. You could use the recipe page to make a recipe binder, fill it with your favorite holiday recipes, and give it as a gift to your daughter or niece. (hinthintcough*) Put a bug in my ear and I could even make you a nice cover page to match! :)

These printables are completely free for you lovely blog readers! Just leave a comment on this post (or contact me if you can't leave a comment!) telling me which printables you'd like, and leave an email address for me to send them to you. If you request the recipe page, leave the name you would like printed on it.

Also, anyone who requests the printables will receive a coupon code to use in my shop, just as a way to say Merry Christmas! :) Look for it in your email inbox!

Have you started your Christmas planning yet? Are you like my mother, and you already have all your Christmas shopping done? Or are you still in denial that it is that time of year already?

New Printables and a GIVEAWAY!!

I've been working hard on some new printables for my shop, and if you can believe it, this time they are NOT Home-management-binder related! Yeah, I can't believe it either.

I decided to put feet to our planning endeavors by creating a line of printables to help you better organize your home and your life. And because I believe in being functional and cute at the same time, I decided to design them in an "Americana" or "Country" theme. What I came up with is a Home Organization Packet.

It includes:

3x5 and 4x6 recipe cards

Personalized Address Labels (fits standard Avery labels)

Personalized Book Labels (fits standard Avery Labels)

Labels (fits standard Avery Labels)

Round Labels (fits standard Avery Labels)

Personalized Weekly menu plan

Personalized Detailed Shopping List

Personalized Simple Shopping List

When you purchase these from my shop as an entire set, you will receive all of the above printables in both the blue and the red design. Basically you are getting two for the price of one! You will also get an instructional sheet with all of the Avery label numbers for handy reference, and ideas on how to use these printables around your home to get the most use from them.

Each of these printables are also available separately, so don't feel you need to purchase the entire set. Pick any of the individual listings from my shop, or pick and choose a select few and put together your own set of the ones you will use the most!

But before you run over and purchase these...how about a little giveaway?

To bring a little celebration to our month-long challenge (and because I love giving things to my lovely readers!) I am going to give away a Complete Home Organization Packet to one lucky reader!

The Prize:All of the printables listed above in the Home Organization Packet (in both the red and blue designs)
