One Small Step at a Time

My own journey to healthier, greener choices did not begin until I was out of college. As I started to read blogs, research real foods and recipes, and make some healthy decisions for myself I found that I was quickly overwhelmed! Things like grinding my own flour, knowledge of herbs and herbal remedies, essential oils, etc. etc. went way over my head. Too much information, not enough time and money!

It is easy to feel like this healthy living thing is just a fad, and sales gimmic, and a way for companies to get more money. But after learning more about what we are really putting into our bodies each day and the truly negative effects it has, I have come to realize that it is a very important topic! Our bodies can not function the way God intended if we do not have the support and nutrition that he designed for us to need.

But it does take work, and it does take money...precious money we might not have. Trust me, I get that! I don't have the money to shop at health food-y, organic-y stores all the time. So along the way, I've tried to make small, healthier changes as I am able. Do I always eat grass-fed beef? No. Does my makeup contain all natural ingredients? No. But each time I make one small change that is one more area that is helping my body work how it was designed to work.

Here are a few of the simple changes I've recently made on my own healthy living journey:

Non-GMO cream for my coffee - I use Stonyfield. The ingredients on this carton are better than many other creamers, and the No GMO, no pesticide, no hormone standard makes me feel better about the whole thing. I love Stonyfield yogurt for breakfast, too.

I use lemon juice to boost immune system, and pair it with honey for a cough. I can count on one hand the times I've put drugs or antibiotics in my system. I know this isn't possible for everyone, but it is one small step that makes me happy! The lemon juice and honey methods that I shared with you here have worked well for me for several years now.

I recently started using Hydrogen Peroxide for a mouthwash. People, this is huge. I absolutely hate the flavor, but I'm doing it anyway because I hate going to the dentist even more. :) I dilute it with water and swish it around my mouth every night. Peroxide is the ingredient in whitestrips and whitening toothpaste, so this should not only clean my mouth and gums but whiten my teeth as well! I also use Peroxide to clean up foot fungus as I explained here.

I bought the Healthy Living book bundle. I know, maybe this doesn't seem like a "small step" to you...but I believe it is one of the easiest small steps you can take! It is available at the click of a button, and will provide you with so many resources and helps for whatever area of healthy living you are interested in. This is one small step we all can take....what are you waiting for? Take this step with me right now!
The Healthy Living bundle is no longer available...thanks for taking an interest! Subscribe to my blog to read more about my healthy living journey and get a heads up when the next bundle is available.
*************************************************

These are all small changes, I know. Compared to other people, I still fall way short, but that is why we don't compare ourselves to other people, right? {wink} I know I still have a long way to go. I know buying cream at the store is still cream from the store, not the farm. But it is something. And I believe it is better to do something than nothing at all.

Here are some other healthier changes I've read about and would like to try:

The "no 'poo" hair care method. If you haven't heard of this, it consists of not putting store-bought shampoo and conditioners in your hair and using natural ingredients instead. You can read about it here, here and here. There are possible side effects, however, after years of using baking soda on your hair: here is an example, and here is another. So perhaps just the occasional use of this method would be better? I've also heard that coconut oil strengthens and protects your hair, so maybe that fits into the routine somewhere?? We'll see!

The oil cleansing method for my face. You can read about it here, here, and here, but basically this is removing harsh chemicals and letting natural oils clean your face as they were intended to, with only a little help from you.

And other natural beauty routines. Here is homemade hairspray, deodorant, zit zapper, makeup remover and face scrub, just for starters! One step at a time, people...

I'd love to hear what small steps you are making, or what steps you want to make in your own healthy living journey! Have you tried any of the things I mentioned above? Feel free to share, and of course we won't compare your story to anyone else's. {wink!}

My Experience with Facebook's Boosted Posts

If you have a fan page on Facebook, you know how completely frustrating and complicated it is to get your posts seen by your fans. Facebook makes it harder and harder to get your posts out there, so bloggers and business owners are getting more and more creative with their posts!

Over the past few months, I have experimented a little with Facebook's boosted, paid posts. Yes, I said paid. I know most bloggers choose not to do this, but I decided to give it a try!

Facebook's Business page says this about ads:

Ads on Facebook are unique. They're shown to specific groups of highly engaged people on desktop and mobile. When your ads have great creative content and are well targeted, they get more likes, comments and shares. When someone takes any of these actions, their friends may see your ad, making it more powerful. When you boost your Page posts or expand the audience for your ads, more people will see them when they visit Facebook.
We'll help you create ads that achieve real results, whether that means connecting with more people through your Page, finding the right customers for your app, or driving sales on your website or in your store.

Best For

Reaching more people
Targeting a specific audience
Brand Awareness
Generating sales

Because I am using ads to reach potential customers and - hopefully! - generate more sales, I figured it was worth a try. After all, you have to spend money to make money sometimes, right?!

I have tried boosting posts on 4 different occasions:

1. For our Ultimate Homemaking Bundle Facebook party

2. On the last day of the Ultimate Homemaking Bundle sale

3. When I released So Sew Organized's canvas totes for the first time

4. When I released these new tablet sleeves.

My first campaign, for our bundle Facebook party, was kind of a wasted effort in the end. I didn't realize that when you prepare an ad or boost a post on Facebook, it doesn't go into effect immediately. Facebook takes a few hours to determine your target audience and...I don't really know what else. I don't know why it takes so long to get up and running, but it does!

So I scheduled my ad to be posted at the start of our party - my idea was to encourage more people to join in! The post itself did reach my normal audience, but the paid, boosted audience did not get reached until well after the party was over. Bummer!

When it was time to write the ad for the canvas totes, I was more prepared and scheduled that post to go live hours before I actually wanted it to be seen. That worked better! Out of the 4 posts I've boosted, that one saw the most engagement.

Here is how Boosted posts work:

1. Click the "boost post" button on any of your page's posts.
2. Choose the type of targeting you want. This is indicated by the red arrow in the following screenshot:

You can choose to show your post to the people who like your page (which is maddening to me, they should already be seeing it!) or to a target audience that you choose. I normally choose a target audience, because my products are specific to a certain group of people. Just follow the prompts to choose your target audience.

3. The next important step is to set your budget. That is indicated in yellow in the screenshot above. This was the default amount of $160. It is estimated to reach 22,000-59,000 people. Sounds great, right? But I'm cheaper than that. :) You can set your budget for as little as $1, but obviously the less you spend, the smaller your audience will be. I normally choose $5 - $10 as shown below:

Many times the estimated audience is lower than what the post actually reaches. Here is an example of one of my campaigns. Halfway through, I had reached 1,837 people and had $3.58 left.

By the end of the campain (when all the money was used up!) I had reached 3,878 people, which was over the estimated audience. I'll take it!

Have I seen a lot of new traffic and/or sales from these boosted posts? I honestly don't know. I have gotten some new likes on my page, and interacted with some new people. I don't know if any of my sales have come as a direct result of these boosted posts, but the potential is always there!

My takeaway from these experiences is that I will continue to use the boost feature for posts and opportunities that seem worth the money. I may not make a fortune off it but I'm not spending a fortune, either!

Now I'd love to hear your thoughts. Have you ever used the boost feature? How did it work out for you? If you haven't, would you ever consider it, and why or why not? I can't wait to hear your opinions and ideas!

Brown Sugar Vanilla Sugar Scrub Recipe

For several years now I've been making my own sugar scrub and using it often on my face, hands and feet. Today I'd like to share my recipe with you and let you in on all the great advantages of using a sugar scrub!

I used to sell this scrub in my etsy shop, but because of shipping costs and some other things I decided quickly that this item was not the right fit for So Sew Organized. So I'm happy to share it will you now so you can make it yourself!

My recipe is simple, and certainly not original to me. You can find this and similar recipes all over the blogosphere, because they all use one basic ingredient - sugar, obviously!

For this recipe, you need:

Equal parts brown sugar and white sugar
Olive oil
Vanilla extract

Mix the sugars in a bowl and drizzle with enough olive oil to get the desired consistency. I have found that it gets wetter over time, so I start out with it a little on the dry side. Add a drop of vanilla extract.

Let sit until the oil has saturated all the sugar. I try not to stir it too much so the sugars don't begin to dissolve. Just a couple turns to make sure all the sugar is covered with oil, and the rest will blend together itself.

That is it! You now have a sugar scrub that smells great and works great.

Besides being simple to make and use, homemade sugar scrub is a much more frugal option than buying scrubs and moisturizers from the store or a catalog. It also makes a great gift!! Give it to a new mom, a hostess, put it in a gift basket, or give it "just because." And hello...tomorrow is Valentines day. You can easily whip this up and gift it then!

Here are some of the ways I use sugar scrub regularly:

 - On my hands. In the last couple years I have developed some seriously dry, sensitive hands, and I use sugar scrub to scrub away the dead, dry skin. The oil in the scrub works as a moisturizer that helps my hands from cracking and peeling.

- On my face. Again the oil works like a moisturizer, and I can tell a huge difference in my skin when I use it! I rarely have to moisturize if I use this scrub on my face every few days. The sugars can be a little rough on the more sensitive skin of my face, so I scrub it in my hands a bit before applying to my face. I don't want to cause small tears in my skin, that would defeat the purpose!

- On my feet. I know feet are generally a gross topic, and I probably don't need to describe my dry, cracked heels to you. We've all had them! I like to use this scrub on my feet the last thing before I hop into bed at night...it is so relaxing! You could use this scrub as a soak for your feet as well. After, I just slip on a clean pair of socks and hop into bed...I always feel relaxed and refreshed! Just by washing my feet!

The other time I find this handy on my feet is in the summer when I am in flip flops 24/7, working in the garden and just generally collection dirt and grime on my feet. I use this to scrub away all that dirt and leave my feet clean and soft - well, softer. :) Because who wants to walk around with their dirty feet exposed? Not me!

And lest you think this might be time-consuming or difficult to hop in the tub or make up a soak for your feet every day...I normally just stick my feet one at a time in the bathroom sink. Yup, just being truthful! It takes just a couple of minutes and does the trick. You are welcome for that mental image. :)

There are lots of other recipes for sugar scrubs, but I like this one the best because it uses ingredients I always have on hand. I have tried other recipes such as this one, and there are several more on my Pinterest board, so check those out if you want to try something different!

Have you used homemade sugar scrubs? What recipe is your favourite? What is your favourite way to use a scrub? Please share!

I Don't Want to Work

I have never wanted to have a job.

There, I said it.

But before you judge me, let me explain.

What I mean is that I have never aspired to have a regular, 9-5 job. The kind where you wake up in the morning, go to work, come home, sleep, wake up, go to work, and so forth. Every day, same thing, over and over for the rest.of.your.life.

Maybe I'm being a bit dramatic, but do you feel like that is the cycle you're in? Like you're obligated to this place you call work and the endless pit of making money to spend it on material and necessary things?  Maybe your family's financial situation forces you to have to work, putting your kids through school or to help with other bills. Maybe you work long hours, overtime even, and feel that you never get to spend time with your kids or family. Maybe you're tired of working all day long with no real vacation and not much to show for it.

That. I never have aspired to do that.

I do know that this is a necessary reality for many women, and I'm not condemning you in any way for it. In fact, I have a deep respect for the lady who has to work outside the home during the day and take care of her family by night. Kudos to you!

All that being said, here is my heart on the matter.

I want to be able to leave room for ministry.

I never want to be so tied to a regular job that it leaves no room to run when service opportunities come up. Even simple things like church workdays, Wednesday night services, or music practice....I want to be able to give my talents to these areas and serve the Lord in this way.

Then there are the big things like missions work. Being tied to a job might not allow you to pick up everything and go to a foreign field. Right now my cousin and her family are in Africa for 6 weeks on a short-term missions project. They aren't tied here, and are able to take some of those opportunities that arise. I love that!

But how can one do it? How can you help contribute to the needs of your family, yet still not be tied down to a job so much that it leaves no room for anything else?

There are so many options for women nowadays to work from their own homes. It even can go as far as setting hours that work well for their family!

Other bloggers have done extensive posts on the options available, but let me just name a few that seem most doable:

Virtual assistant
Selling a product
Babysitting
Product consultant
Blogging

Some of these options may take time before you see regular income coming in. In the meantime, there are options like selling on eBay or Craigslist, taking online Surveys, sponsored tweets, or offering up one of your talents locally like baking and selling your goodies, or teaching music or sewing.

I've been blessed - the Lord has always provided for me without my having to tie myself down to a job. As a teen I cleaned house for a sweet, bedridden lady. Through college I worked part time in the college library during the school year, and was on the housekeeping staff during the summer. I was able to volunteer for 7 months in a missions organization, I've done mending from my home for people I know, and just recently the Lord provided a part-time, temporary job for me - I'm helping a Christian couple out with their business for the next few weeks that I'm in the States. The Lord is so good! He knows the desire of my heart - to leave room for ministry - and He has always, always been faithful in providing that for me.

My point is, there are options! And I'll let you in on a secret...this is one of my biggest dreams for So Sew Organized.

I've watched women that I know struggle with being a slave to a job. (That's how I see it anyway!) They work long days, 6 or 7 days a week, all year long...with almost nothing to show. I'd love to be the one to show them that there could be a better way. To be able to offer them a job that they can do from their own home while taking care of their family. Where they can set hours that work best for them, and take time for ministry as the need arises.

I can't wait for the day that So Sew Organized has grown to this place. We're not there yet, in case you are wondering. :) But its my dream, and I wanted to share it with you so together we can watch it grow to reality.

I'd love hear from you, not only where you currently are in a job situation, but also where you'd like to be in the future. What dreams are you working towards? If you would like to know more about any of the options I listed above, let me know and I'll do my best to point you in the right direction. =)

My personal experience with Zenni Optical

A few months back I took a daring step...I ordered glasses online! Living life on the edge, right? {wink!}

I knew several people that had bought glasses through an online store with great success. In fact, not one person I talked to had anything negative to say about the experience! I put it off for a long time, just because it made me nervous...but I'm glad I did it now!

I chose Zenni Optical for two reasons...
  1. Their method seemed easiest to use and most accurate
  2. Most of the people I talked to that had ordered glasses online had used them, so if I had any questions I knew who to call!
It is pretty easy to scroll through the selections on the Zenni Optical site, and simple to refine your search down to exactly what you want. I was looking for rimless, so those are mostly the ones I looked through...they have a pretty big selection!

Long story short...I was happy with them when they came!

I was a bit concerned about the fit. Glasses are a pretty obvious part of your wardrobe, actually one of the first things people see when they look at you! I don't let what other people think about me run or ruin my life, but I obviously want the features on my face to seem natural and proportioned.

Zenni has a few different tools that insure a good fit:

First, a printable ruler to measure your pupillary distance - help make sure the distance between your pupils is exact. That is probably the most important for correct vision!

They also give you the option to upload a picture of yourself and virtually "try on" your glasses. As long as you take a level, straight picture, this works pretty well!

In the description for each pair of frames, there is a detailed list of that frame's measurements: the bridge, lens and frame width, the temple length, lens height, and frame weight. I just measured my old frames to get a new pair that were similar. Didn't want anything too big on my face...been there, done that! #90sglasses

In the end, I only had one complaint with the whole process, and it could have just been a computer/browser issue. There was one frame I was interested in, but every time I clicked on it, it kicked off my picture and erased my saved favourites. So essentially, I was starting over. :( I soon learned just to not click on that set of frames, but it did make the whole process last a whole lot longer than it should have.

The best part, of course, was the price. I don't mind telling you that I paid about $40 for my glasses, and that is on the high side. I have extremely bad eyesight, so I paid a few dollars extra to get a thinner lens than I would normally need. I also chose rimless glasses, which are one of the most expensive options. But give me a break, $40??!! I paid several hundred dollars for the last pair I bought through my local vision center!

When the glasses came in the mail, I was pleasantly surprised to find they came with the following...

  • a hard case
  • cleaning cloth
  • bag with extra nosepads and screws. Genius!!!

So the moral of this post? I'm happy with Zenni Optical, and I'd use them again in the future! They are certainly worth the money, and they are a much less expensive option than you'll typically find. Why not give it a try? Leave a comment if you have any questions, I'd be happy to help you!

Have you ever ordered your glasses online? Tell us about your experience in the comments below!

Note: I did not receive any compensation or perks for telling you about Zenni Optical. They don't even know I exist!  I just know it was nice to hear personal experiences when I was making my decision to order online, and want my story to help someone else. Hope it has been a help to you!

Swagbucks Again!

Search & Win

It is no secret that I use Swagbucks, a search engine that gives you rewards for using their site. I've talked about the system in detail here and again here, so I'll not rehash everything for you. I just wanted to share how I am proactively using Swagbucks this year to help out in my gift giving throughout the year!

Normally, I am not too diligent about using Swagbucks throughout the year. I am unable to use the toolbar, because my computer is too old and can't support it. :( Boo dinosaur computers! However, I can still easily go to their site and do my searches from there and still be awarded Swagbucks. I just have to do it...and normally I get out of the habit after a few weeks.

I realized just before Christmas {when I was diligently using Swagbucks so I could get those gift cards to help with buying presents!} just how fast the bucks add up when you are using the system consistently. I don't even have or take the time to use all the other features of Swagbucks! There are games you can play, short video clips to watch, and even online shopping options that award you with more swagbucks, but I don't even touch any of that, and still I can easily get at least two $5 Amazon gift cards per month.

Here is how:

I do all my searches through Swagbucks. This means every site I visit, I go through Swagbucks to get there. This usually scores me a couple of "hits" each day - normally 7-10 bucks per hit.

Friday's, however, are mega-swagbucks day, so I try to take advantage of that day to do even more searches. The results are worth it!

Picture 2
Oh yeah, true story...my biggest hit ever!

I also always, always click through at least 3 pages of every search. Sometimes I win bucks on the second or third page of the same search. I just quickly click through pages 2 and 3, then back to page 1, before doing another search. This is an important step!

Picture 4
Another true story...I don't think this one was even Mega Swagbucks Day!

Each day I am online, I do the daily poll and the NOSO. {I explained how to do this here if you aren't familiar with these steps!} This only takes a couple of minutes to do both, and gives me 3 bucks per day. That may not seem like much, but add it up and it is 1,095 Swagbucks per year...enough for two $5 Amazon gift cards plus change!

I try to take advantage of Swagcodes when they are convenient. {Again, here is the low-down on those} Swagcodes can be found on their Facebook page, their blog, or even Twitter. I certainly don't have the time to look all over creation for swagcodes each day! I have found it helpful to follow the Swagbucks offers that credit Facebook page, which alerts you to where a code can be found and how much longer it is available. I just recently was introduced to this page, which tells you the exact code, where it was found and how much longer you have before it expires. Resources like that are a life saver!

So, that being said, I never go looking for Swagcodes...but if I happen to be online, one of these two sites will let me know via my Facebook stream.

The only other way I earn Swagbucks is through referrals - those of you who have signed up for Swagbucks with my link. Every time you win Swagbucks, I do too! I am truly so thankful for those of you that have already signed up under me!

Swagbucks and Superpoints and how to use them!

It has been quite a while since I talked about Swagbucks, the search engine that pays you to search the web. I know, sounds too good to be true, right? Well, it’s legit...I’ve explained it here before, but I’ve since learned some new tips and tricks, so I decided it was time for a little update!

As I already said, Swagbucks is a search engine that randomly credits you with “swagbucks” when you use their site to search the web. These bucks, once you’ve accumulated a bunch, can be redeemed for gift cards - Amazon, Starbucks, Paypal, etc. That is the bare bones of the operation, although there is a whole slew of other ways to earn swagbucks as well. I’ll get to those in a minute!

The amount of swagbucks you win varies from day to day, depending on how many searches you do. I typically make about 20-30 bucks a day on searches, which is far less than some! If you do a lot of things online you can make a lot of bucks per day!

Swagbucks has a toolbar that you can download right to your browser, making it easy to get bucks. Plus, just by simply opening your browser each day, you are awarded one swagbuck for using their toolbar!

Keep in mind that you don’t actually have to be searching for something to use the toolbar.  I use it just like I would a regular browser...if I’m going to a blog, Facebook, Etsy, anything, I just type it into the toolbar and let swagbucks find it for me!  That way I can make bucks even by going to websites I visit every day. And my secret tip is this: always click through several pages of a search. I usually click through the first 3 pages and then back to page one, and normally end up getting bucks on the 2nd or 3rd page!

If you don’t want to/can’t download the toolbar, you can still go to the Swagbucks site and do searches straight from there.

Even though Swagbucks started out as a search engine, they have become an entire community with multiple ways to make bucks. Here are the easiest ones that I do almost daily:

Daily poll: in the top left-hand corner on the swagbucks site is a button that says “Earn.” Hover over that, and a drop-down menu will pop up. The first option will be the daily poll. By voting in this poll, you get 1 swagbuck! It only takes about 15 seconds to complete, and every day is a different poll. They are just easy, multiple-choice questions - not anything where you have to reveal your SSN or anything like that! This is an easy way to earn a buck...365 bucks a year, to be exact!

No Obligation Special Offers: under the daily poll option is another option that says “NOSO.” These No Obligation Special Offers are merely offers from different companies looking for people to sign up with them. The great part is, just by clicking through these different companies, you get 2 bucks. You don’t have to sign up for any of them, just click through them. At the end is a simple capatcha to fill out to verify you are a human, and bam! 2 swagbucks, just like that. This is another easy way to make a few bucks...adding up to 730 swagbucks a year, which is enough for nearly two $5 Amazon gift cards!

Swagbucks TV: For every 10 TV clips you watch on the Swagbucks TV page, you get 3 bucks. The nice thing is you don’t actually have to “watch” them! :) I normally just open the clip in a new browser tab with my sound off and let it play away. These are normally just news clips, but they are not always “clean”...so sound off is the best way to go. Every few minutes I just click another video in the “related videos” section to the right. If you have a handy place to leave your computer, you could have these videos playing all day while you cook, clean, etc. Just click on another one every time you pass your computer, and you can be earning money all day long! :)
I do have some trouble getting videos that give me credit, because the TV option isn’t actually available in Canada. But I’ve discovered the way to make it work is to click on a TV clip from the Swagbucks home page (scroll down until you find one that says “watch to earn”) and from there I can click “related videos” and usually they work. Once in a while I won’t get credit for one, but overall it works out. I think Canada just needs to get with the program! :)

Trusted Surveys: I almost never complete surveys, because I never qualify! However, if you own a car/house/kids/pets there are probably surveys you could complete and get swagbucks. The amount of bucks is usually stated at the very beginning, so you can pick higher paying ones. These do take a little time, but can be completed while you are, say, watching presidential debates or something. :) I’ve never had a problem with getting spam emails or anything as a result of these surveys...I guess they really can be “trusted” as they claim!

Occasionally there are other random offers that will pop up or be sent to your swagbucks inbox...things like watching a short commercial for a buck or something like that. These don’t take much time and are another way to get a few bucks a day.

Referrals: This is where I fall on my knees and clasp my hands and ask you to help out. :) Not really...its totally up to you. But if you want to give swagbucks a try, I’d be tickled pink if you’d use my referral link...located throughout this post and always available in my sidebar. I will be awarded 50 swagbucks if you sign up under my link, plus swagbucks will match the swagbucks you earn up to a certain number. It is a great referral program, and it is free to sign up, so why not give it a try?

Swagcodes: On the right hand side of the Swagbucks home page is whats called the “gimme” box...a little place to type in a code and be awarded swagbucks. (you can see part of it in the screenshot above) Where do you get these codes? They pop up all over the place...on Swagbucks Facebook page (or the Canadian one) or Twitter or in the Swagbucks blog (get there by clicking the “blog” link on the tool bar at the bottom of the page.) You have to be lucky enough to be online when they release a code, because they are usually only “live” for an hour or two, and then they expire...but if you are online, its a great way to get a few more bucks. An easy way to find them is to follow the “Swagbucks Offers That Credit” page on Facebook. They post when a new code is released...they can’t tell you the code, but they can tell you where to look - the blog, facebook page, etc. Then you just type the code exactly as they have it into the “gimme” box on the homepage.

Whew….either this is complicated, or I’m feeling very chatty today. :) I think its the latter...because it is really not complicated at all! Once you go sign up, you’ll see clearly how everything works. For more info (and probably better explanations) read this post over at Money Saving Mom. There are lots of great tips in the comments section, too! And again..thanks from the bottom of my feet for using my link to sign up! If you are diligent over the next month, you should earn enough swagbucks to get a couple of gift cards before Christmas.

I’ve been using Swagbucks for a while, with great success (even used my Amazon gift cards to buy Christmas presents last year...and will be doing it again this year!) but I recently found another great site that is similar but not exactly the same - Superpoints.

Update: Unfortunately, Superpoints has gone bottom-up...according to their site, they are unable to meet the demands that a rewards site offers. I apologize to those who signed up, as we all lost the points we had in our accounts. Its a really sad thing...I miss that Super Lucky button! Thanks for your interest, and hopefully something similar will start up in the near future. You can read more details on their site here.

Superpoints is a whole lot simpler with less options. It is not a search engine, but there are still ways to earn points that can be cashed in for Amazon gift cards.

The easiest (and most fun) way is with the Super Lucky button. Just by clicking that button you randomly can get superpoints. I’ve gotten up to 25 in one click, but I have seen others get up to 100! Depending on what level membership you have reached, you have so many clicks per day. Right now I get 30 clicks because I completely filled out my profile page. (one day I randomly got 45 clicks...not sure why...but I sure did appreciate it!)

Picture of how to get to the superlucky button...ignore the Huggies ad!

There are surveys you can take here as well, but I haven’t done any of those yet. They also send out a daily email which contains one or two superpoints once you click through to their site.

They too have a great referral program...I won’t beg this time, but if you’d be so kind as to use my referral link to sign up, this will award me more superpoints. Y’all are the best. :)

That is all there is to Superpoints. Even if you don’t get any referrals, you can still earn a few superpoints each day just by clicking the super lucky button. That is easy to do while reading emails or doing other online work, so it doesn’t take up any time. And its so fun. Like honest gambling or something. :)

There are other sites out there similar to these that I still want to look into...Bing rewards and Mypoints are two I’ve heard good things about. Hey, if there are sites that want to pay me for what I already do online, I’ll be more than happy to take it! I’d be interested in knowing what sites you use and what works for you!

Feeling overwhelmed by all this info? Just take the plunge and go sign up..then refer back here for tips on how to start earning bucks or points. Feel free to ask if you have any questions or need something explained more fully!

Despite the fact that I said "swagbucks" about 2 million times and "superpoints" at least half that much, I was not asked by either of these sites to write this post. These are legitimate sites that help save money and buy Christmas gifts, and I enjoy passing the info along to you. If you sign up under my referral links, I will get credited bucks or points to my account, which will help me purchase Christmas gifts. Thanks!
